Technology may unlock man’s mind in Moorhead

This spring, Elaine Larson stood quietly in the back of a tiny, darkened room at Moorhead's Heartland Industries, a center for adults with disabilities. Over her grandson Malachi's shoulder, she gazed at a flickering laptop screen she hoped would eventually deliver his first yes or no, his first question for her. Her face was composed. She was unfazed by the hurdles Malachi confronted here several times a week.
