Man pleads guilty to 1990 murder of ex-wife
An Oglethorpe County man is in custody charged with killing his wife. Oglethorpe County sheriff's officials said 66-year-old Leroy Bryant Smith is accused in Saturday's shooting death of 65-year-old Margaret Anne Smith.

Retired Pa. prof held pending assault sentencing
A northwestern Indiana man has pleaded guilty to the 1990 murder of his former wife. Fifty-two-year-old Rodney Boesel of Gary was arrested in 2007 after his daughter said he threatened to cut her throat "like he did my mother."
